As founder and CEO of Compliance Experts & Diamond Dreams@Work, Filip Van Laere brings over 20 years of experience in the international diamond business. He knows the industry from the inside and understands its stakeholders, dynamics and challenges across the entire value chain, from rough and polished diamonds to diamond jewellery.
Since 2008, Filip has specialised in compliance, helping diamond companies navigate regulatory and industry requirements and supporting them through RJC, BPP and company-specific certification and accreditation processes. As an Accredited RJC Topic Expert, he combines extensive industry knowledge with hands-on compliance expertise.
His approach is practical and personal, translating complex compliance requirements into clear, workable solutions that help companies build strong, credible and sustainable practices.

Trisevgeni (Trissia) Stavropoulos is a law graduate at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
She obtained an LLM at the Royal University of Brussels in Corporate Law and an executive Management Degree at the Solvay Business School. Before becoming an independent compliance professional she worked for 18 years at the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) as Head of Compliance making sure the Belgian diamond industry maintained its leading role globally in terms of commitment to transparency and compliance.
Her main focus areas are anti-money laundering and best trade practices in the diamond industry. Trisevgeni and her team won the 2019 UK ‘Women in Compliance’ awards in the category ‘Best in-house compliance team’.
In addition to her compliance work, Trisevgeni has a passion for jewellery and is director of the diamond jewellery label ‘Stavros’.
